Welcome to the art of Gail Vail

Glad to have you as a visitor to my blog! I hope you enjoy viewing images of my paintings. There are stories to tell behind most of them. I'll give you a little "peek" into some of those stories. You'll notice there are few limits to the subjects that appeal to me. I paint mostly in oil but watercolor, acrylic and pen & ink are still occasional tools of the trade.

I also have several of my originals at Art of Oconee, a Greensboro, Georgia art gallery owned and operated by fourteen talented artists. The gallery is located at 1010 Parkside Commons, Suite 105 (behind Publix and across from Paper Soiree). Please stop by, enjoy a cup of coffee and light conversation with knowledgeable artists. Thanks for visiting my blog - please come back for a glimpse of my new work. I hope to see you soon!

"Seasons on Lake Oconee"

"Seasons on Lake Oconee"
I recently published a new book "Seasons on Lake Oconee, Art of the Area Through Poetry, Prose and Paintings". It's 88 pages of rich talent - thirty-seven writings by gifted area writers, each illustrated with a full color painting by an area artist. With an embossed leather cover and a glossy dustjacket of a painting of a sunset on Lake Oconee in full color, it is a perfect gift book. The book is available in several Greensboro shops, including Art of Oconee.
